In live from the campaign Inkari 2011, directly from the South American jungle !

The campaign "Inkari 2011" is thrown ! As in 2010, thanks to the system INMARSAT and to the beacon of geo-localization Spot Televizio, of the company Telespazio France, follow from day to day the headways of the expedition with the interface of Google Maps.

After an exceptional campaign 2010, at the conclusion of which Thierry Jamin and his team officialized to Cusco, on October 14th of this year, the discovery of around thirty inca archeological sites of inca and pre inca origin, in the valleys of Lacco and Chunchusmayo, our explorers leave on the tracks of the lost city of the Incas. They are more than ever convinced to approach their purpose.

What is going to reserve them this new campaign ? This year of 2011 will mark the centenary of the discovery of Machu Picchu by Hiram Bingham in 1911. And if it was also the year of a discovery so major for the history of Peru and this continent ?

Be the first ones to discover the results of the expeditions "Inkari on 2011" by following on this Blog, from day to day, and on the page Facebook of the campaign "Inkari 2011", the progress of Thierry Jamin and his team…

Dear Friends and Internet Users,

Our team is brought in this night of our last mission of the campaign "Inkari 2011". Since near one year, several inhabitants' testimonies of the region, spoke to us about the existence of a site important in the entrance of the valley of Lacco. One of the objectives of this year was to go to verify the exactness of these testimonies. We were not disappointed !

A few kilometers away from distance of the fortress of Hualla Mocco, our team, under the direction of two inhabitants, reaches the archeological site of Umapata, situated in 2.870 meters in height. It is about a real small inca citadel populated with hundred of buildings, lanes, terraces of culture and with magnificent temples.

This stake in the day unexpected comes to complete our searches for these last two years in the valley of Lacco and allows us to conclude this campaign 2011 on a very positive note. We shall put back, in the next days, to the Peruvian Ministry of Culture, our Final Report, officializing the brought to light of this year realized in the National Sanctuary of Megantoni and to Lacco.

In a few days, our team will be again on the ground to set up the campaign of the next year. We shall say to you about it a little more in some weeks. It is going to take place many things during this year of 2012...

In the meantime, I say to you "¡Hasta Pronto!".

Very friendly To You since the Navel of the World,

Thierry Jamin

Dear Friends and Internet users,

All the team of Inkari starts during the night of Monday to Tuesday, October 18th, 2011, for the last expedition of the campaign "Inkari 2011". This last mission of the year will lead us again in the valley of Lacco where numerous inhabitants indicate us, since several months, the presence of still not listed important ruins.

Since our campaigns of 2009 and 2010, they are more than thirty new archeological sites than the team of Inkari, thanks to the support of the French company SeD Logistique, was lucky to bring to light and to look to the science. Today, with the active support of the Municipality of Toulouse (France E.U.), we can continue and complete this new harvest, on the tracks of the lost city of the Incas.

This new expedition, placed under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, will be accompanied by the Peruvian archaeologist Domingo Farfán, Superintendent to the Regional office of Culture of Cusco, and by the Spanish archaeologist Daniel Ángel Merino Panezo, of the catholic University of Lima.

Also know that all my team fusses henceforth on the organization of the campaign "Inkari 2012". If everything takes place as expected, we shall leave in the jungle of Megantoni on the tracks of the legendary city. We think of being more than ever near the purpose.

But from the beginning of the year, our team will already be on the ground within the framework of a project about which I shall soon speak to you. It is an extraordinary story !

In the meantime, I thank you infinitely, in the name of all my companions, for your numerous encouragements.

Very faithfully To You, since the Heart of the Andes,

Thierry Jamin
